Job Title: Physician/ MD -Diagnostic Laboratory Business Development Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: USD $150000 / Year
Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection, medical devices, laboratory consumables and associated instrumentation. They are seeking a Diagnostic Business Development Manager in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. In this role, the individual will be responsible for developing and directing the execution of a strategic plan for the clinical components across the organization’s full diagnostic product line, with a focus on selected products.
Compensation: Base salary plus commission structure. Base salary in the $150K range.
Doctoral degree or equivalent in Medicine; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of clinical laboratory a plus
Responsibilities: Develops a clinical sales strategy for the organization’s short- and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the Management team. Collaborates with clinical affairs and sales management on building an influential medical evidence plan to help clinicians understand, accept and recommend the organization’s diagnostic products. Creates and delivers both scientific and clinically relevant presentations, seminars, and educational programs to business partners, clinicians, and internal sales staff ensuring content matches audience needs and backgrounds. Develops and provides the foundational data for medical and scientific marketing / product material, including promotional pieces and technical sales aids, to the Marketing Department. This is a partial representation of assigned duties.
Education Requirements: Doctoral degree or equivalent in Medicine
Experience Requirements: Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of clinical laboratory a plus
Desired Skills: Creates and delivers both scientific and clinically relevant presentations, seminars, and educational programs to business partners, clinicians, and internal sales staff ensuring content matches audience needs and backgrounds. Ability to supervise others in Diagnostic Product and Account Management. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications: Represents the company at key events, functions ad forums related to select key customers, accounts and societies. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and all levels of current and potential customer organizations.
