Question: How to get a job in medical device sales?
Question: It seems that all of these device sales positions require several previous years of industry sales experience. How do most of these sales reps get their start? I’m looking into transitioning into medical device sales.
Response: Thanks for your question. Most medical device sales reps start their careers with experience selling in a business to business environment. Selling tangible products typically works best. An important qualification seems to be a successful sales track record. Managers seek those with “winning” attributes.

With the recent changes in the economy, those trying to enter the industry are now finding it harder to get a job. This may be due to the fact that many more reps with experience are available. While it may be hard to compete with those who have contacts in the industry, your chances will be greatly enhanced by showcasing your sales achievements with a well-written resume.
